The Sonnenberg Team

It takes a TEAM to create a special dressage horse. From the initial breeding selection, to the FEI competition arena, there are many contributers along the way that are all important to the horse's ultimate success. the breeder selects the stallion that can consistently improve the needed qualities in the mare. This is followed by a healthy foaling and good Handlers raising the foal in an environment where a young horse can flourish. Then, a thoughtful and careful start to their riding career with a trainer that builds confidence in them. As the dressage horse progresses, correct training is the key to successfully bringing the competition horse to the FEI level and ultimately, grand prix. IT's everything. the mare, the breeding cross, the facilities,, the handler, the trainer, the groom, the owners and the sponsors. It truly takes a TEAM to be successful.
